We had some very good transparency on Sunday morning. It was about
as good as I have ever seen it from this location. I can confirm that
there was an outbust of Orionid activity this year. From 4:45 to 7:45
UT, I observed 119 Orionds, 53 the last hour! However, the best meteor
of the session was a nice -4 magnitude Taurid fireball seen at 5:30 UT.
There were several nice Orionids, one -3 magnitude Orionid seen at 7:30
UT had a 6 second train. There were also many Orionids with trains. The
average Orionid was 2.4 magnitude, but there were several of 4th magn.
Below is a short breakdown of the meteor activity observed.
