(meteorobs) Meteor Observing Session 09-24-2006: East Georgia, USA

Finally, this past Sunday morning, clear skies coincided with both the new 
moon, weekend, and a free calendar for me.  Not unexpectedly, I was out 
observing meteors, at least for a couple hours.  I had a fairly good 
session, seeing 22 meteors.  There were
no really bright meteors observed, but I did have an unusual number of DAUs 
(04), and ANTs(04), although the somewhat strong ANT tally is probably in 
part because of the current high elevation of the ecliptic.  Still, three of 
the antehelion meteors occured within less than 2 minutes of each other, at 
08:03UT - 08:04 UT.  All told, an enjoyable outing which I hope to repeat 
again this coming weekend.
