Hey Ed
Thanks for the information.Sadly Gary's site is only a
former shadow of itself.I hope Gary put it back better
than before.
Just a quick note to let you know to keep an eye to
the area of Coma Berenices and Canes Venatici for
active from now into late April then on into the
middle of May.Early this morning I saw a meteor coming
out of this area just slightly north of the center of
Coma Berenices. This was the area you observed and
report active in I believe April and May 2000 or
2001.The reason I remembered this is I observed some
of the some active you were seeing and also reported
this to meteorobs.
I still hold that there is a active minor shower
taking place from the middle to late April and ending
around May 15.To me it seem to start out in Coma
Berenices and moves over to Canis Venatic by the
conclusion of the shower in May.What I have observed
since then is my guess is that the peaks is somewhere
in the time frame of May 5 to May 10. Also it can
produce some fireball active at time. You may say I am
crazy and that is OK by me but this is what I believe
I have perceived over the last several years observing
this area of the sky.
Any way glad see your back out observing again always
enjoy reading your observations reports.
