(meteorobs) Strange Lights--An Unusual Meteor Shower

I don't see this link posted elsewhere here, but on Sept. 1, there's a 
forecast that an unusual meteor event will take place. See 
<http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2007/08aug_aurigids.htm?list25937>. 
Western U.S> observers, and particularly N. Calif., observers should be 
interested in this potential event.

The moon rises here near Sacramento near 22:00 hours and sets around 
noon the next day. The moon will be 80% illuminated. Let's hope for 
fireballs!
