We were not quite so lucky with the weather our second night in the Florida
Keys, but again both Norman and I got at least a full hour's worth of meteor
data to report. Here is the summary - anyone interested in details, just drop
me a line! OK, now back to my "other life" as oceanographer-in-training. :)
Maybe I'll get another chance to log some meteor "Teff" for the Orionids or
Geminids later this year? I hope so. Mean time, clear skies to all!

GENERAL COMMENTS ABOUT SESSION
Observed with 45-year veteran AMS observer Norman W. McLeod III.
Set up on the ground on parking pavement, in NE lot of Larkspur Beach.
Temperature approx 82oF. Moderate sea breeze kept most mosquitoes away.
Ac and Ci clouds persisted all night, requiring breaks, frequent CFV changes.
Meteor highlight of the night was a gorgeous -7 Perseid seen through the
cirrus cover high up in the west - such a pretty color! Unfortunately,
though, clouds were too thick to note any train from this meteor.
