Hi All,

I am back from a great youth astronomical research camp that was held from
August 10 to 19 on Pohorje mountain in Slovenia. More than 50 young
astronomers participated the camp and we all very much enjoyed our stay
under the stars.
The weather was not very good, though. Still, I could observe on four
nights around the Perseid maximum.
I also operated two video cameras belonging to Orion Astronomical Society,
both Mintrons equipped with 8-mm and 3.8-mm lens, respectively.

First night of the Camp was clouded but it cleared for a couple of hours
in the second night. The sky was quite good with top LM counts of
magnitude 7.0. After about an hour and a half, fog covered us and we were
forced to quit. I saw 61 meteors in total, 43 of tehm were the Perseids.
The brightest meteor seen was a magnitude -3 sporadic meteor in
Capricornus.

The cameras recorded 46 (31 Perseids) and 84 meteors (57 Perseids),
respectively.

Clear skies!
Javor
