Howdy all, looked for a while last night
from southeastern N.C. Hoped I would be bless with clear skies but, it
did not turn out that way. Thursday night 11:50 pm to 12:30 am local
time on the 14th, I saw (5) five meteors total. Four were Gems one Spo,
the Gems range in mag from +1 (1 ea.) +2 (1 ea.) and +3 (2 ea.). The SPO
was a +2. Now skies were clear and the LM was 5.5 (live just outside
city limits) and looking good for later. I went to bed got up at 4:15 am
EST looked for 40 minutes into partly to mostly cloudy skies but was
awarded a -1.5 mag (appox. mag of Mars) white Gem about 4:35 am EST,
going below the Big Dipper (this was through broken clouds). Right at
5am EST a cloud bank moved in, and that all it wrote. Hope all else had
better luck.
  Alan from Wilmington N.C.
