One of the most promising areas of interest is finding a way to tightly couple in time, a scatter signal with a visual capture of a meteor using an inexpensive capture setup like HandyAvi and a webcam with the Radio scatter equipment. I do not know of anyone pursuing this direction, or has found a satisfactory solution to accomplish that.

Another application is to see if triangulation or actual positioning of a meteor is possible using 2 or more local stations linked together by computer for signal phase comparisons.... this one could get very expensive tho'........
