easy 1 mile hike. Once on top, you have an unobstructed 360 degree view

I would also like to add that at this location, you are at an elevation of
over 8,000 feet. Besides a good observing location, it is also a worthwhile
place to visit. Since this is suppose to be a family vacation, you might want to
have other places to see or look at to placate the family.
