Hi folks,
I present my data from November 16-17. I use the format style of the
IMO-ZHR on fly. I hope that everything will be clear after sending this mail
to Meteorobs.
Night was clear and frosty. I observed with my fellow future brother in law
and meteor observer Simon Vanderkerken. We had a good time. We observed for
6 hours between 23.35-05.35 UT. Leonid activity increased during the last
intervals till ~ZHR 15-17. At first sight I think about a large 'stable'
activity that started during the morning hours of November 17th because the
activity levels on November 17-18 weren't not much higher (ZHR ~20-25 before
dawn). 31% percent of the 51 Leonids left a persistent train. Mean Leonid
magnitude: 2.84, nothing brighter than -1 was seen.
Long trains,
Michel.
