(meteorobs) Leonids November 17-18 (VANMC)

Hi,

Data from November 17-18. Traditional Leonid maximum night. Conditions 
started great but around 2UT we had some troubles with the rising fog (no 
wind). Everything above 30-40 degrees stayed OK. After 3.30UT an upcoming 
cold wind from south-eastern directions blew all fog away (the centre of the 
high pressure system was moving into eastern directions). Dawn arrived at 
5.30UT. I had 6,23 observing hours good for 167 meteors including 67 
Leonids. 37% of the Leonids showed a persistent train (this is the same 
number as for the trad max in 2006). The average Leonid brightness was 2.72. 
First observing hours around 2.7-3; but it decreased before dawn when Leonid 
meteors became slightly brighter...Observations has just ended in time; the 
cirrus of  a new Atlantic depression was already visible in the west.
