Bruce,

First off I want to say I really enjoyed this report.  This is some excellent
writing.  I especially liked the play on words about trains.

Honestly, this is stuff that could be put in a book!


Also, seems it's a small world.  You're friends with Alister Ling.  I'm
assuming that's the same Alister who co-writes the monthly Astronomy Magazine
article, The Sky Show.  I'm good friends with Martin Radcliffe.  I suppose the
odds aren't that remote that someone on this list is friends with someone I've
heard of, but it's an oddity of the electronic age that the "Six Degrees Of
Separation" seems to be getting smaller--especially given the fact that those
two live a couple of thousand miles apart.
