(meteorobs) Potential Cause of the P/Holmes Mega-outburst

Hi.All
I have read the discussion on why Comet Holmes has
gone through such an amazing out burst.One other
possibility is that the comet flew through a meteoroid
stream.Just like the earth flew through the Orionids
the last couple of week.The Comet could very well have
spent a few days in the meteoroid stream and was
sandblasted and may have had small bodies impacting on
it's surface.Since it seems that this cometary body is
rotating then this may have effected the whole surface
of the comet. This could have shaken this cometary
body up to some degree and broke up the crust and soot
on the surface exposing new material.Does any one know
of a meteor shower or stream that we know of here on
earth that may have intersected this cometary body.Any
guesses?Just thinking.
