There is usually great difficulty in finding freeware or even Shareware 
software which will convert the Sentinel QuickTime .mov files of a nights 
meteors to an .avi file for easier processing.

There is something about the Sentinel QuickTime file(codex?) which prevents 
opening by other software.

This link is a FREE .avi converter(among others), which will convert 
Sentinel's .mov to .avi where all the others that I have been downloading 
for the last several days failed.

It will automatically open the selected .mov file and convert it to .avi by 
default. Hope this is useful info.
