Agree w/ Bert and Richard regarding the Perseids this early AM.
Was hoping to get a longer session in but clouds began swarming the area after the first 50 minutes. I tried to fight through it and utilize "sucker holes" and wait it out but there was just too much obstruction after the first 50 minutes to make observations after that time meaningful. What I feel comfortable in noting is that, from about 6 UT to almost 7:30 UT (when I finally gave up), the Perseids over Eastern Oklahoma were not plentiful and the shower did not seem as active as the session two nights ago when I saw 11 in two hours under similar (though clear) skies.
