We had great weather here; so I decided to observe locally, despite
the light pollution and a limiting magnitude of 5.2 or 5.3. From 7:00
to 9:00 UT I was able to see 74 meteors, 58 of which were Perseids.
About one in four Perseids left a visible train.

The average Perseid was a bright 1.1 magnitude, but I am sure I missed
most of the faint ones due to the light pollution. The best Perseid was
a -3 blue-green Perseid seen at 3:18 UT. There were also two of -2, three
of -1, and nine of 0 magnitude.
