As expected, the weather was perfectly clear for the PER max near Lake Tahoe, NV. I awoke after moonset and put in a full hour Teff starting at 3:25am local PDT, until the first signs of astronomical twilight around 4:30am. Conditions were nearly perfect at my house, with very low humidity, mild temperatures and little or calm winds. My only issue was the balcony from which I observed blocked a part of the northern sky, so I had to employ a "F" factor in my data. Limiting mag was a good consistent 6.5
As expected, the PER put on a good show, with a total of 59 seen in one hour. A nice KCG started everything off, and I noticed a substantial difference in the magnitude distribution of PER between the first half and second half hour of observing. There were a lot more brighter ones between 1025-1056UT vs. afterwards, but only 4 out of 59 broke into the negative magnitudes, leaving nice trains.
Overall, a very good show this time around!
Mike
