(meteorobs) Brilliant Fireball Dec. 29/30 Northeastern U.S.

It is interesting that Mr. Bortle, to the northwest of the Long Island observers saw the fireball on a NW to SE path.  The Long Island observers saw it on a SE to NW path.  If memory serves me, I believe that reversal in apparent path indicates that the fireball's real path occurred between Poughkeepsie and NYC.  Can someone confirm or disconfirm that?
