Saturday evening, 29 December 2007 (30 December UTC), two
fireballs were observed from Liberty Hill, Texas (30.65N,
97.93W). The first, about -6, moved right to left low in
the north at about 1:11:15, with some fragmentation. The
second, about -5 (maybe -6) moved left to right somewhat
low in the east at about 1:40:45 and ended with a terminal
burst. Only I saw the first one directly, but a second
person saw the ground light up. The second one was
directly observed by all three of us. To me both seemed
to be trackable to the same part of the sky, well to the
right of Polaris and somewhat higher in the sky (Auriga,
Camelopardalis, Lynx).

Wow!

I've reported both on the AMS online fireball report form.

We also observed P8/Tuttle with M33 and P17/Holmes with M34
- very nice! (And I saw them again Sunday evening.)
