My plans for the Quadrantid peak were to begin observing at 1 am (0600
UT) to monitor meteor rates at the time of the predicted peak, but
unfortunately, I overslept. I didn't arrive at my site until about 2:30
am (0730 UT), got set up, and began observing about 15 minutes later.
Skies were good for the coast, around LM=5.15, which is about all I can
hope for without a driving excursion of several hours.

Since I still had not replaced my tape recorder, I again used a roll of
cash register tape to record meteor data, which prevents me from having
to look away from the sky to record the data. I also ignored all
radiants other than the Quadrantids, which allowed me to keep my hands
inside the sleeping bag (no path alignments) as it was a cold 19 degrees
again this morning. The cold finally forced me into the truck to warm
up, just a few minutes shy of 2 hours observing (Teff=1.83)

All in all, a fun, but cold morning.

I'll be reporting 15-minute bins to IMO as soon as I can.
