Of possible interest to radio meteor observers:
There was a large meteor event over Colorado March 21, 2008, 0255 UT. (
March 20, 2008 at 8:55 pm MDT)
I heard this particular meteor while I was in my observatory in New
Mexico and knew by the radio tones that it was a big one. I stopped my
visual video recording to check for it and at first did not see anything
because the sky at the time was almost entirely cloudy on my video
footage. Later that day I was alerted by an observer in Colorado who
asked if I had data on this meteor and I rechecked my video and
fortuitously discovered the meteor flashing for a moment through the
distant clouds.
It made a very interesting head echo on my two radios and there is a lot
of data in the radiospectrograph I think, especially in the initial
slanting of the head echo, which I believe gives some indication as to
direction, either towards or away from my radio array.
