(meteorobs) First ETAs

I spent 1.25 hours early this morning watching for any ETAs that might stray this far north.  I was surprised in looking back at my data that I had never seen an ETA.  Maybe I had tried before, but weather, moon, etc just kept it from happening.  Anyway, I was underway at 3:35  (8:35 UT) on a very cold night for May in Oklahoma (near freezing).  Almost an hour later, I was a bit discouraged and ready for a warm bed when WHOOOSH (OK, I really didn't hear anything), a nice -2 ETA shot to the south.  Just six minutes later, a similar performance, this time to the north.  Both gave hints of color and exhibited persistent trains of about a second or two.  Reenergized, I was going to try to hang in for a two hour session, but the baby monitor crackled to life at 10 minutes to 5:00 and it was time to go in.
One SPO early in the session made for a total of three meteors.  In retrospect, I really wonder if I was too tired and missed a few fainter meteors.  I am going to try to get a little more sleep tonight and, weather permitting, try again Monday morning.
Good luck to others watching for ETAs.
Bill,
Coweta, OK
