After being clouded out Sunday morning, I was optimistic when I awoke to
clear skies early on Monday morning (May 5). It was another low-60
degree night, but tonight, I was joined by a few mosquitoes. Luckily, by
3 am the local bat population had located them and began thinning them
out for me.

At about 3:45 am I spotted a small single cloud crossing the sky and
became worried as my experience has shown they rarely travel alone. Sure
enough, by 4:30 local time, I was 80% clouded out. What made this even
worse was the clouds prevented observing during the best time for Eta
Aquarids [until the clouds arrived, I had only recorded a total 3 Eta
Aquarids]!

I will try again tonight but weather prospects are not good.
