ETA AQUARIDS FROM THE NJAA
I managed 3 conseutive mornings; here are the results for May 4/5, 5/6, and 6/7.
All observing periods are in the early morning, hence the second date is the UT observation date.
FOV chosen to allow detection of all 3 radiants.
Shower association aided with alignment cord, and taped record of angular velocity, elevation of meteor and radiant.
Satellite observations are those that appear in front of me, don't know them in advance.
All meteor times are recorded to the minute, not included in these summaries.

UT Date May 5, 2008
Observation period 0640-0840 UT (0240-0440 EDT)
This was one of the most painful nights of my meteor career.
4 stinkin' +4 Mag meteors in 2 hours.
Two things saved it...one of the 4 was my first ETA of the year, and it was 50 degrees (10C).
That's a lot better than 2 faint meteors an hour in February!!

UT Date May 7, 2008
Observation period 0703-0839 UT (0303-0439 EDT)
Left home it was clear, got to NJAA it was cloudy.
Decided to try and wait it out; kudos to the clear sky clock which said 30% clouds at 2AM, 0% at 3 AM.
I went on the clock basically cloud free at 3:03 AM. Adjusted FOV for first few minutes to avoid
cloudy area, after that cloud free hazy conditions slowly improved. Not very transparent, but considering
how bad it looked when I arrived I can't complain.
