Hello meteor people,

Since 2006, Europlanet succesfully organizes the European Planetary Science
Congress (EPSC), which includes sessions on meteors, asteroids and comets.
The conference is aimed at professional research, but some of you may be
interested to know that they are very open to amateurs. For example, the
registration fee for amateur-astronomers is only 20 euro (compared to 200
euro for professionals) and there will be a dedicated session "OA3
Contributions from Amateur Astronomy to Planetary Research".

The EPSC conference (21-26 September in Germany) will be held right after
the IMC (18-21 September in Slovakia), so those preparing a presentation for
the IMC may be interested to present their best results also at the EPSC. It
is a great opportunity to get in touch with professionals from different
fields in planetary sciences, so I would definitely encourage you to
consider this!

Be aware that the abstract deadline is 01 June (THIS SUNDAY!!)

Clear skies,
Geert

PS: Drop me a line if you are submitting an abstract or if you are
interested to travel from the IMC to the EPSC.
