Hi All,
during the last week we had some short spans of clear weather so I could
observe the meteors.
Last Friday it cleared in the evening so members of our Astronomical
Society drove to Pohorje Mountain where we observed from 1250 m altitude.
We first enjoyed some views through the Society's 30-cm Newtonian. After
a couple of hours, Mitja and I decided it was time to observe meteors.
There were some disturbances from quickly drifting clouds and strong winds
but overally the night was quite enjoyable.
In two hours Teff I recorded one Orionid and six Taurids, others were
sporadic meteors. I had my camera running for the entire time we were out
(4 hours or so) and registered a +1. magnitude sporadic meteor and a
+2. magnitude Northern Taurid.
Clear skies!
