Ran some bench V-Bar resolution tests on Handyavi using the cheap (e-Bay)
AverMedia DVD EZMaker capture cards in XP computers.

Input to card is the common NTSC analog composite from a general purpose
video surveilance camera of 0.1 Lux rating and a second test test with a
paralell output from Sentinel's camera with identicle results from both.

Dramatic improvement in resolution was achieved using 720 X 576 and RGB24.
Output is UNCOMPRESSED for faster frame acquisition.

The image detail difference between using Handyavi's default setting of 320
X 480 and the new settings are substantial, approaching what you would see
on a direct connected real time analog monitor. Trying RGB32 worked most of
the time but is a borderline setting which could fail if left
unattended?....not sure why. The live test was done with moonlit rain cloud
cover which contained subtle shadings over a dark horizon tree background.

Worth checking out if you have a similar setup for meteor captures and want
more detail.
