(meteorobs) Techniques for High, Bright Moon Observing

Here in the midwest, we have many free-standing,abandoned silos. I have pre-located several in different locations. I just move my lounge chair/sleeping bag in a semi-circle around the base on the shadowed side as the moon advances. Often, I only have to drive two hours or so, but tonight I think I am looking at southwestern Missouri/Oklahoma.
