NEW PUBLICATIONS FROM THE INTERNATIONAL METEOR ORGANIZATION

Dear meteor worker,

Via this short note, we want to bring under your attention
some new publications of the International Meteor Organization
that have recently become available:

Handbook for Meteor Observers
-----------------------------

The IMO's Visual Observing Handbook has been out of print
for quite some time now, and a successor was already long
overdue. Also, general information about photographic,
telescopic, video, and radio observing was not available
anymore. It was therefore decided to edit a brand-new
Handbook that deals with all these observing techniques,
and in addition contains a lot of valuable information on
the meteor phenomenon and the meteor showers observable
throughout the year. This effort has resulted in a book
of almost 200 pages packed with information that for sure
will become a standard reference for meteor workers, just
like its predecessor!

Proceedings International Meteor Conference 2006
------------------------------------------------

Since the proceedings of the International Meteor Conferences
(IMC) are post-proceedings, they always appear 1-2 years
after the event. The proceedings of the 2006 IMC in Roden,
the Netherlands, are now available!

Proceedings Meteor Orbit Determination Workshop 2006
----------------------------------------------------

In conjunction with the IMC in Roden, the Netherlands, a
workshop on  meteor orbit determination took place. The
proceedings of this workshop have also become available.
There are only a few copies left!

Meteor Beliefs Projects CD-ROM
------------------------------

Between 2003 and 2007, a series of articles on meteor beliefs
has been published in WGN, the bimonthly journal of the
International Meteor Organization. This series of articles
has now been made available on CD-ROM.
