The Polar bears and other ice loving species may go extinct if they
can't cope with Arctic warming and the disappearance of the ice. The
Inuit that live in the arctic will be effected by the change in
hunting patterns or loss of some species that they hunt. The only
good as I see it, is oil and mining companies will make a fortune by
polluting the North and also cutting down the distances for
shipping. Of course, as a money saving feature, I wonder how many of
these ships will be double hulled to prevent accidental spills.
Remember the Exxon Valdez accident off of Alaska. My home could end
up as expensive beach front property if sea level rise. ;-) I'll
probably croak before I can take advantage of that. Don't know who
is behind this web site but it is supported by some science!
