Hi Barbara, could I ask what colours were the Perseids?
All mine in the past 7 years were either red or white and most very
fast.
Clearest skies

Just a quick report, so far very poor showing prior to midnight.
4 Perseids down the backbone of the Milky Way, 2 at -2 magnitude
1 @ -3 magnitude.
Moonrise was around 11:40 and high cirrus is masking any fainter
meteors. In the last hour 1- 2 am CDT 4 Perseids very faint and quick.
Hard to estimate magnitude due to moonlight and cirrus.
Hope things pick up. About 600 people showed up on our observing deck.
Most left at moonrise.
Barbara Wilson
