(meteorobs) Perseids rained out on Oahu, HI

Well, Murphy's Law prevailed... The remnants of Hurricane Felicia decided to move over the central islands in the chain last night, spoiling the optimal viewing of the predicted early peaks. There was a hint of clear skies at sunset, but then it just progressively got worse and started raining non-stop all night. Big Island observers may have had a shot, though, being further SE and avoiding the majority of the storm, I believe.
