Hi All,

Geminids fron Castlemaine, Victoria this am.
Time 3:10am to 4:10am EDST Dec 15th
or Dec 14th between 16:10UT - 17:10UT
 or Dec 14.68UT

Geminids = 20
Sigma Hydrids = 1
Puppid/Velids = 2
Sporadics = 7

There were several bright Geminids, leaving characteristic trains, orange in
colour and slow velocity.
The best was a point source meteor between Castor and Pollux, at -1 and
lasting for 2 seconds.
Gemini briefly had 3 heads!

Radiant altitude = 21 deg.
Teff = 1
limiting mag = 5.5

Calculated ZHR from my location = 110per hr.
assuming r=2.

Quite an impressive show.

cheers,
Michael Mattiazzo
