Test - I hope this works several messages have not gone through over the past few weeks.
Is anyone familiar with this software? It is authored by Daniel van Os of the Dutch Meteor Society, and may be found by searching for "meteoracle". It is not on the IMO site so I was rather surprised to find it. It works much like the online flux estimator found on some of the NASA sites that were developed for the Leonids, but covers more information and with greater flexibility. Key I think would be how well the modelling is kept up to-date with latest data models from of the experts. I cannot tell how recent an update it is. Screenshot examples are from 2004. I have tried to e-mail Daniel but the message bounced back. I selfishly asked if a simple sky chart with radiants could be added to the program.
I purchased a netbook for $249 and I am loading it up with free software, including Metshow (see IMO). These little netbooks are loaded with XP so they run alot of the great free astro software no problem compared to Vista.
