Super Circuits has marketed a new low light color camera with 170 degrees
vision.

If suitable filters can be found to closely match eye response in color & IR
this camera could be useful for an all-sky fireball camera since fixed
horizon objects usually occupy the first 10 degrees or so.

As usual they offer NO DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS of the CCD substrate
wavelength response NOR any (very important) comparative lux rating in
color. Caution should be excersized if no further information can be
obtained on a purchase if color is the intended goal. Priced at $300.

The specifications they advertise are:

Model PC920HR
"Super wide dynamic range produces crystal clear images in harsh lighting
conditions"

a.. 1/3" Sony EX-View CCD chipset which produces 600 lines color
resolution, 700 lines black and white resolution and 0.0003 lux
b.. 3D adaptive noise reduction filter removes noise from the image
signal, producing a vivid and clear image
c.. Adaptive luminance control uses HSBLC (highligh supress back light
compensation) to darken selected highlights and brighten darker portions of
images.
