(meteorobs) Radio Forward Scatter

I am putting up in the files section a wmv file of about 30 seconds of SNOTEL forward scatter so that you can see the differences between it and analog TV for those that want to try receiving that station.
Thomas Ashcraft has the best and most comprehensive archives for analog TV forward scatter. As Thomas mentioned, sporatic E is a problem at this time of year.

Also note that the audio FM of TV channel six (6) is at 87.75 MHz, not 86.24 for zero offset carrier.

For the past two days, in the early morning, I have been trying to use six Mexican TV stations at ch 6 for meteor scatter, but so far, no joy.
I am in the Phoenix Arizona area and the stations that I choose were in Hermosillo (314mi), Obregon (434mi), La Paz (655 mi), Los Mochis (564 mi), and Mazatlan (786 mi). They transmit between 50 - 100KW, so the output power and distances are ideal; not sure why no joy.

I also monitor NAVSPASUR at 216.98 MHz, but I'm in an ideal location for it.
