George,

My camera limiting magnitude is around +1 but I can tweek a video still
image in photoshop and pull out dimmer stars. The camera is really
geared towards fireballs. Also, my camera looks up through an acrylic
dome that has aberrations and is not optimal for smaller meteors. Also,
my particular camera is set a little on the dark side and if I adjusted
the camera I could get pick up more smaller meteors but getting inside
the camera housing to access the camera settings is a very tedious task.
A good thing about the system is that it can see 350 plus miles in all
directions. The Flagstaff fireball that happened on April 26 or so was
324 miles/ 521 km from my observatory and appeared at the edge on the
camera horizon. - Thomas Ashcraft
