The date on those stories is Monday, 09 March, but the stories themselves refer to an event "the previous Saturday", or 07 March. Have a look and make sure to click on the links to the stories:

I analyzed the radar data and provided the image you mentioned. The radar data itself was disappointing compared the "Ash Creek" fall outside of West, TX not long beforehand.

Hi
This may be off topic.
I was Googling meteor events in March 2009 and came across a reference
of a sonic boom and a yellow flash 9 March 2009 in the Westchester
/White Plains area of New York. (40/51/56N) (72/51/49W) 5/41/05 GMT.
Story was carried by a local television station Channel 34.
A blog site (http://lunarmeteoritehunters.blogspot.com/) carried
information of a doppler radar image to be meteor debris of the above
mentioned area. But the date of the doppler image is 7 March 2009 (?).
I reviewed the AMS and Space Weather sites to see if there was mentioned
of the fire ball event in the New York Area. The Meteorobs site members
did not mention the event either.
During this same time period, potential falling satellite material in
the news.
Any comments?
