(meteorobs) Optimized filters for daytime fireball video capture?

My idea was to cut a narrow strip of material and place it where it covers the daily track of the sun.Have it where it can be moved up or down to cover the changing position of the sun over the year. My guess is you would only have to move the strip about once a week to keep the sun blocked.
Just an idea.
