(meteorobs) Video Observations from Southern CA, November 17, 2009

Visual observations of the Leonids were attempted between 845-930 UT. Only 2 Leonids and 1 sporadic were seen. I saw more birds and
mosquitoes than meteors! Video data from last night is much more revealing. When viewing this data it should be remembered that
the camera has a 60 degree field of view, less than normal human vision. The limiting magnitude is fairly close to that of human
perception. A perfectly alert pair of eyes should see more activity than the camera, but this rarely occurs.
