(meteorobs) Lunar Impacts

Me too! I thought about the time of the impact their computer froze (again)
and we missed the moment. From time to time, especially as the impactor
neared the Moon, the data overloaded the computer as contrasts required
more power than they had. As I posted on Twitter, "This was a little like
LCROSS between paint drying and Geraldos opening of Al Capones vault." Too
young to know? Check wikipedia, it's there, happened in 1986 and took hours
of prime time, almost nothing, bottles, scraps of paper, big bust. His
career never recovered. Bad rap for NASA.
