The morning of 18 October was the first time I was able to observe the Orionids this year.  Then the mornings of 19-23 October were mostly cloudy to overcast with rain (3 1/2 inches this week).  So I missed all the best nights.

When I first arrived at McFarland Park (06:30 UT), it was 80% overcast; Soon it was 90% overcast, but by 07:15 the NW sky was clearing.

22 of 52 Orionids showed obvious trains = 42%

If last hour is counted as 10:15-11:15 UT then actual observed rate for the hour was 19 Orionids.
