(meteorobs) Late Orionds Good Oct. 26 - Mathias, WVa

                           Oct. 25/26, 2009

   We were lucky to have fairly good conditions on Monday morning to
look for some post maximum Orionids. I was able to get in two hours
of meteor observing, with mostly clear conditions and a few broken
clouds from 5:52 to 7:52 UT. The best meteor of the session was a -1
magnitude yellow Orionid with a 4 second train seen at 7:40 UT.
However, the average Orionid, of the 25 seen, was about 2.7 magn.
There was activity seen from both branches of the Taurids, and two
Leo Minorids & one Beta Cancrid was seen the second hour.
