(meteorobs) Possible single station triangulation network?

(FYI)
HandyAvi has introduced an internet adapter for its capture program. It
accepts live MJPEG video through the internet from a remote Internet
Protocol(IP) camera.
My take on this is it would have limited usefulness due to monthly cost but
could operate as a triangulating network controlled by a single camera
station with a distant IP camera installed elsewhere.
I believe it will take a second DSL subscription at the remote site along
with the expense of an IP camera at that site. The DNS address of the remote
camera must be different from the internet address used at the control site.
Also, a second computer would be necessary at the main control site with an
internet adapter installed and a running version of HandyAvi to trigger &
record the remote camera meteor events for comparison with the control
stations camera triggering of the same events.
Long way around,......but in some ways........a lot easier than setting up
and running an un-attended remote computer & camera, with a huge HDD to be
gone through at intervals.
