Please note that nothing I said implies that researchers shouldn't ignore
what other's _believe_ on occasion. What I said is that researchers can
NEVER ignore evidence that contradicts their viewpoints. They can, of
course, attempt to argue that the contradictory evidence is being
misinterpreted- and they may be right. But if a reasonable,
observation-based objection is made to a proposal, ignoring it is
pseudoscientific, pure and simple.
In this case, if Larry wants to continue arguing his position (and be taken
seriously), he needs to address the reasonable objections that have been
posed to his undefined terminology and to his inferred image processing
methods.
