I observed from Bel Alton, MD (76d, 59m W; 38d, 28m N, elevation about 10 meters), my usual local 'dark sky site.' Despite a slightly hazy sky (judging by the slight glow around -3 magnitude Jupiter), the limiting magnitude started out at about +5.5 and ended at +5.7, which is very respectable for this site in summer. No clouds were seen throughout the entire session. Perseids averaged two per hour during the session.

6:04-7:17 UT, facing south with the Water Jar of Aquarius as a field center, I saw no SDAs, no CAPs, no ANTs and no PAUs. Lm was +5.47 for this period.
PER: +2 and +3, total of 2
SPO: -3, +3 (2), and +4, total of 4.

7:32-8:47 UT, facing east, with Aries as field center. Lm was +5.7.
PER: -2, 0 and +2, total of 3.
SPO: 0, +1 (2), +2 (2), +3 (2), and +4. Total of 8

For a Teff of 2.47 hours, I saw a total of 5 PERs and 12 SPOs.

Best wishes to all for the Perseid max!
