Usual observing site: McFarland Park 4 miles NE of Ames, Story Co., Iowa, USA

Observed three hours before being completely clouded out.
No Alpha Capricornids or Delta Aquarids were seen.   
Highlight: the first meteor of the session was a mag -4 yellow Kappa Cygnid going straight East at 05:40.

05:40-06:40; 77 deg F; dew pt 70 deg F; wind South 9 mph; clear in field of view first 20 minutes, then small clouds drifting thru; some horizon haze; average LM 5.6; facing variously ESE-E-NE to avoid having clouds in FOV; average cloud cover for the entire hour 5 percent; total teff 1.0 hour.

Kappa Cygnid: one: -4 yellow
Perseids: seven: -1; 0; +1; +2; +3; +4(2)
Sporadics: two: +2(2)
Total meteors: eleven

06:40-07:40; 77 deg F; dew pt 70 deg F; wind South 12 mph; sometimes clear; some horizon haze; many strips of cirrus passing thru; average LM 5.2; facing East 50 deg; total teff 1.0 hour.
