(meteorobs) Quick Perseid Summary

Rates were unimpressive this morning (Aug 12) but bright meteors were aplenty. The best was a yellow -7 Perseid fireball that shot 
overhead and left a twisting train that lasted for nearly 30 seconds. Earlier, there was a -5 Perseid that shot down toward Polaris 
and left a 45 second train. Many others were of negative magnitudes, but not fireballs. An impressive -2 earthgrazing Eridanid was a 
highlight of the night. I think the highlight of the night was an intense orange, -3 Alpha Capricornid, that lasted 3 seconds and 
fragmented toward the end of its flight.
