In 2007 there was a discussion about the year first used used or origin
of the term Zenith Hourly Rate ZHR.

I came across the following in a Dictionary, The Word: The Dictionary
that Reveals the Hebrew Source of English (Isaac E. Mozeson. page 134.

RISE / ZAR- (AH)
Roots: German reisen means rise (of the sun). Rise (pronounced "rize" is
a (character in Hebrew) */ZAR(AH) (to rise, as the sun). "the sun rises
and the sun sets - Eccleiastes 1:5.

BRANCHES: (E -European - route risan (to rise) takes in ARISE and RISE.
(A)ROUSE, ROUST and ROOSTER ought to relate. * Hebrew Characters/
(MIZRAH or (MI)SRAQ is east, where the sun RISES. East in Arabic is
sharq, source is SIROCCO. *Hebrew Characters/ZHA is not to rise but to
shine.

Is it possible the introduction of ZHR as an identifier for defining the
hourly rate of a meteor shower has a German reference or origin?
