As did - it seems - groundbased observers who in 1983 saw Io get much
brighter for a short time, probably lit by an impact fireball on the far
side of Jupiter. Was reported in Nature 366, 117 (1993) by Hammel &
Nelson. Makes one wonder how many papers (and raw data!) like that are
still slumbering in some files!
